Naloxone may soon be available over the counter

 Note: This is for Lacrosse WI County 

An FDA panel voted unanimously to allow Naloxone nasal spray to be sold over the counter.

The drug, also known by its brand-name Narcan, can reverse an opioid overdose.

A Naloxone nasal spray can temporarily revive someone who isn't breathing.

The dose will only revive someone for a short period of time.
