Students at Tomah High School are getting creative in art class.
Tomah students are completing murals that will go on display at the Tomah Area Historical Society and Museum.
Students are given are historical sites in the area to paint on a four-foot by seven-foot piece of plywood.
One Tomah senior says it's an opportunity to learn about their community.
" I painted the little red school house in Gillette park, and I think one of the interesting was that since I was because I was asked to paint it I did some googling about the history of it and learned that it was built somewhere else and moved then on after it had stopped being used," said senior Louie Malloy.
Students say the mural project also boosts their art skill and confidence.
