Three people have died after a car fell off a bridge after an apparent chase with law enforcement in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Thursday evening.
According to WDJT, the Milwaukee Police Department said some of their officers were involved in a suspected drug dealing and reckless driving incident Thursday evening. Officers tried to conduct a traffic stop but the car fled the area, leading officers on a chase.
MPD told WDJT that within a minute of the start of the chase, the car lost control and crashed off of the 16th Street bridge.
According to WDJT, the car fell about 20 feet and landed upside down on Canal Street before it burst into flames.
According to WISN, there appeared to have been three people inside the suspected car, and all three of them died. It was reported that the three people were all men.
MPD told WISN that the driver also hit a pedestrian in the area who was on a sidewalk at the time. The pedestrian had minor injuries.
The investigation is ongoing and no further information has been released. According to WISN, investigators are working to identify the three men.
