For the many Willie Nelson fans who could not attend his epic 90th birthday bash this April, the two-day event was recorded and will air this Sunday, December 17, on CBS.
There is no denying Nelson’s longevity in the music business and his many contributions to music. During his 90 year celebration, there was no shortage of great talent participating in the festivities to celebrate the legendary icon.
The two-day event included a sold out crowd at the Hollywood Bowl with performances from Willie Nelson, Beck, Gary Clark Jr., Sheryl Crow, Snoop Dogg, Norah Jones, Miranda Lambert, Dave Matthews, Nelson’s sons Lukas Nelson and Micah Nelson, Keith Richards, George Strait Chris Stapleton, to name a few,
In addition, Jennifer Garner, Chelsea Handler, Woody Harrelson, Ethan Hawke, Helen Mirren, and Owen Wilson hosted the event to honor Nelson and his many years and contributions to music and humanitarian efforts.
The “Willie Nelson 90th Birthday Celebration” is a special concert honoring the legendary career of music icon Willie Nelson. It will air Sunday, December 17, from 8:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. on CBS and streaming on Paramount+.
