Bond set in Sparta fentanyl overdose death case

 


SPARTA, Wis. - Bond has been set for a man who allegedly sold drugs to someone who later overdosed and died.

40-year-old Vong Vang is charged with first degree reckless homicide by delivering drugs.

According to the criminal complaint, Vang is believed to have sold fentanyl to a man that later died from a fentanyl overdose.

In Monroe County Court Wednesday, Vang appeared via Zoom from New Lisbon Correctional, where he is currently serving another sentence.

Judge Goodman set a $50,000 cash bond for Vang.
