Threatening email sent to Tomah High School staff (Tomah, WI)


 Saturday morning, a threatening email was sent to Tomah High School staff.

According to a Facebook post by Tomah Police Department, the email allegedly contained threats of violence against teachers and students. District information technology staff and Tomah Police immediately began investigating these threats and the origin of the email. 

The few area citizens that were in the school at the time were swiftly evacuated, and police searched the school and surrounding areas. Nothing of concern was found. 

The origin of the email is still under investigation. The school will have an increased presence of law enforcement on Monday and the following days. 

Tomah Police is asking anyone with information to contact law enforcement immediately at (608) 269 - 6333.
