Two injured in State Highway 27 crash near Westby, WI


WESTBY, Wis.
 

The Vernon County Sheriff’s Office reports that two people were injured in a two vehicle accident near the intersection State Highway 27 and Reo Avenue on Thursday, June 27. The Sheriff’s Office received the call about 5:33 p.m.

According to the report 33-year-old Ariel Christenson was stopped on State Highway 27, attempting to turn left when her vehicle was struck by vehicle driven by 30-year-old Michael Aspenson who was traveling north on State Highway 27. The report said Asepnson told investigators he looked away from the roadway and failed to see Christenson stopped.

Both drivers reported minor injuries and were evaluated by Westby First Responders and Tri-State Ambulance.

Assisting the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office was Westby Fire Department, Westby First Responders, Tri State Ambulance.
