July 5th 2024 Rainfall Totals After Storms Left Flooding In Some Areas Of The State



Rain hit many northeast Wisconsin municipalities hard and fast on July 5, leaving some areas flooded as they were hit with multiple inches in just a span of a few hours.

Locations in Waupaca County and Outagamie County perhaps had it the worst, with flash flood emergencies declared in Manawa and significant flooding reports in Appleton.

'So how much rain did some areas get? The National Weather Service (NWS) of Green Bay has provided some of the 24-hour totals between July 5 and 6.

According to the NWS Green Bay, the most rainfall in its recorded areas was in Ogdensburg (5.05 in.), Waupaca (3.65 in.), Appleton (2.5 in.), New London (2.5 in.), and New Holstein (2.11 in.).

Below is a breakdown by county of the rainfall totals for the 24 hours from Friday to Saturday:

BROWN COUNTY

  • Wrightstown – 0.83″
  • De Pere – 0.68″
  • Denmark – 0.55″

CALUMET COUNTY

  • New Holstein – 2.11″
  • Brillion – 1.16″
  • Chilton – 0.6″

DOOR COUNTY

  • Ephraim – 0.68″
  • Fish Creek – 0.61″
  • Ephraim Airport – 0.6″

LANGLADE COUNTY

  • White Lake – 1.24″

MANITOWOC COUNTY

  • Reedsville – 1.41″
  • Millhome – 1.28″
  • Valders – 0.58″

MARINETTE COUNTY

  • Peshtigo – 1.09″

OUTAGAMIE COUNTY

  • Appleton – 2.5″
  • New London – 2.5″
  • Mackville – 2.09″
  • Grand Chute – 1.39″
  • Shiocton – 1.27″
  • Black Creek – 1.1″
  • Seymour – 0.72″

SHAWANO COUNTY

  • Shawano – 0.54″

WAUPACA COUNTY

  • Ogdensburg – 5.05″
  • Waupaca – 3.65″
  • Clintonville – 0.72″
  • Fremont – 0.63″

WAUSHARA COUNTY

  • Hancock – 0.51″

WINNEBAGO COUNTY
