WESTBY, Wis
The second day of the 101st annual Westby Ski Jump kicked off in Westby on Saturday afternoon.
While it has been a warmer past few days in the Coulee region, that did not stop the Ski Jump. The ski ramp and hill had to have a special chemical placed on the snow to help prevent any water pooling up or melting that could potentially put the jumpers in danger. Because of this, the jumping was a bit delayed but that did not stop those in attendance from staying warm and having a great time before the competition got underway.
When it was time for event to start, the competitors did not disappoint. The warm weather did not faze any of them. The jumpers were able to wow the crowd with each jump as all of the spectators were glued to the hill when someone was going down the ramp.
With music blasting in the background and venders selling hot drinks and food, the even did not disappoint those in attendance.
