Tomah, Wisconsin man convicted of 23 child sex crimes after four-day trial

 


A Tomah man is convicted of 23 child sex crimes.

After a four-day trial, a jury in Monroe County court Thursday convicted 53-year-old Mark Brooner in connection with the victimization of two children between 2008 and 2019, according to the DA's office.

Brooner was accused of a litany of child sex crimes including sexual assault, enticement and causing a child to view sexual activity.

He was previously convicted of child sexual assault in 1988.

Brooner will remain in custody until sentencing on June 20. He faces a mandatory prison sentence of 25 years.
